Balancing High School And Part-Time Work Part 1

Balancing High School And Part-Time work
Part 1
like many high school students, you may want—or need –to work part time. Working takes a lot of time and energy, though, so before getting a job, make sure that you think about your ability to handle both work and your educational education.
Important considerations
You have to weigh a number of factors when deciding whether to take on a part time job. It’s important to get as much information as possible, so you can figure out what choice makes the most sense for you.
Schedule a meeting with your school counselor to discuss the idea of working. Talk to your counselor about why you want to work and what type of position you’re seeking.

Profile of a Successful Student part 2

Profile of a Successful Student
Part 2
Work together. There are a number of ways that you can ensure you get the most out of your educational experience. First, participate fully. Engaged regularly in the discussion and be willing to share your personal, professional and educational experience. You can get to know your classmates through the dialogue that is created in a course environment—sometimes even better than in a face-to-face class. And the same goes for your instructor. Be sure to contact your professor—especially if you are having problems. He/she is still your instructor and will be there to guide and assist you as needed.

Successful Students 3-4

Successful Students
3-4
3. …. Ask questions. Successful students ask questions to provide the quickest route between ignorance and knowledge. In addition to securing knowledge you seek, asking questions has at least two other extremely important benefits. The process help you help you pay attention to you! Thing about it. If you want something, go after it. Get the answer now, or fail  a question later. There are no foolish questions, only foolish silence. Its your choice.
4. …. Learn that a student and a professor make a team. Most instructors want exactly what you want: they would like for you to learn the material in their respective classes and earn a good grade. Successful students reflect well on the efforts of any teacher; if you have learned your material, the instructor takes some justifiable pride in teaching. Join forces with your instructor, they are not an enemy, you share the same goals- in short, your teammates. Get to know you professor. You’re the most valuable players on the same team. Your jobs are to work together for mutual success. Neither wishes to chalk up a losing season. Be a team player.

Study for Multiple Practice

Study for Multiple Exams
Part 3
English, math, foreign language tips: PREACTICE – especially foreign language. It’s hard to succeed in a foreign language class if you are just showing and doing the work. But if you are in your room and look at objects and try to say them in a language you are learning it actually helps. Or if you send a simple text to a friend think about it, can you translate that to German or Spanish? These are the little things that will help. Here are my final words of wisdom for students who want to get better grades in college: Time management and organization are critical key factors to success in college. And never be afraid to go ask your teacher for help. They have office hours for a reason- use them!

Student success statment

Student Success Statement
“I shall pass through this life but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness I can show, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall never pass this way again.”
Etienne de Grellet
We are oblivious. We don’t know if we will ever get a second chance at life. So while we live this one life, we shall show kindness  and not hatred  towards others. Life will never be good to you if you’re not good to it and all the others. We may not get a second chance at life, so we shall  the goodness in our hearts while we still have this one chance.

academic success

            Academic Success

Part 1

My great academic success: In my principles of marketing class, we had come up with a new product and sell it. My group ended up with a couple supposedly bad students according to our teacher since they were the last ones picked. In the end, they helped out more than needed since I was team leader I assigned them certain pieces of the project that became solely their responsibility. Delegating work always helps since it allows a group member individual work without separating the group.

English ,math, foreign language tips: Math basically just takes practice. I always tell students to take a blank piece of paper and write everything you know about what you’ve learned or what you’re studying for in the class. If you don’t remember everything or star drawing blanks, then you need to study more and review your notes. Note cards work really well for foreign language.
Here are my final words of wisdom for  students who want to get better grades in college: Go to class just in case you’re absent, and remember that you should want to learn.
